With the "Limitation" tab available in the "Mechanics" section of your campaigns, you have the option to set access limits for your contest. The error message that appears when the limits are exceeded occurs during form validation. The available limitations are as follows:

  • Participation Limitation (each player can be limited per day, per campaign, or per IP)

  • Campaign Limitation (the campaign can become inaccessible to players after a certain number of participations)

To set a limitation on participant participation and campaign limitation, go to the "Mechanics" step and click on the "Limitations" tab.

1. Participation Limitation (CHOICE):

  • Daily limitation allows you to limit the number of participations by the same player per day. Set the "number of attempts" as desired. If the participant exceeds the limit, the campaign will display an error message (configurable) when they try to submit the form.

  • Campaign limitation allows you to limit the number of participations by the same player throughout the entire campaign. Set the "number of attempts" as desired. If the participant exceeds the limit, the campaign will display an error message (configurable) when they try to submit the form.

  • IP limitation also applies throughout the campaign duration. For example, if you set the IP limitation to 2, the user will only be able to play twice. They will not be able to play more, even if they attempt to play with different email addresses.

2. Campaign Limitation:

This type of limitation allows you to limit your game to a specific number of unique participations (one email address corresponding to one unique participation).

In the "limitation message" box, you have the option to customize the message that appears when the number of participations is exceeded.

Case of Code Unlocker:

By enabling this option in the "form" step, you can ask players to enter a code to validate the form. In such cases, you can disable email collection. Please note that when this option is enabled, you cannot use participation limitations per day and per campaign. Only IP limitation is allowed.

Case of Geo-blocking:

It is also possible to limit access to your campaign to specific countries only. More information in this article.

✍️ Note: The text page that appears when a limitation is reached will adopt the color codes of your menu (defined background color + white text).

How to set up a limitation for media contests?

Media contests (Photo and Video Contest, Fan's Choice Photo and Video) have specific limitation features. These features are in addition to the common limitation settings for all mechanics.

  • Photo and Video Contest:

Limitation on the number of photos uploaded per participant: You can decide the maximum number of photos each participant can upload. If this limit is reached, a pop-up message will appear to indicate it (Mechanics > General Settings).

  • Fan's Choice Photo and Video:

Limitation to one vote per user for the entire contest.

How to ensure a winner cannot win again?

It is not possible to block a participant once they have won. Blockages can be applied by player, by campaign, or by IP, but for all of the player's participations. Here is a tutorial on the "Limitation" section.

However, if your rules specify this (e.g., one prize per person), you can disqualify any additional prizes a person may have won. In that case, you can reprogram the instant win using the classic generation in "Mechanics" > "Instant" to make it available again.

The limitation message is not appearing, what should I do?

The limitation message text is white by default, and it cannot be changed. To make your message visible, you need to configure a color other than white for your campaign menu. Go to the Home > Menu > Menu Background Color tab.
