Do I need to obtain the consent of participants to my Privacy Policy?
Do I need to obtain the consent of participants to my Privacy Policy?
Updated this week

Case 1

The personal data that you will collect via your operation is not strictly necessary for the performance of the contract - i.e. the rules of the game -.

In this case, your privacy policy must be accepted and each additional processing operation (e.g. sending of canvassing, transmission of data for canvassing purposes by third parties, etc.), which must therefore be based on consent, must be specifically accepted.

Case 2

The personal data that you will collect via your operation will only be used to operate the game (e.g. to send prizes, etc.).

In this case, your privacy policy must be made easily accessible via a clickable link (the information must be provided) but does not need to be separately accepted. It can be integrated into the rules of the game, and can therefore be accepted at the same time.
