For a game to be a success, it's vital to be able to drive traffic to it (for example, by distributing your game via an email campaign, in a banner on your website, etc.). Would you like to track the performance of your campaign directly from your Google Analytics account? You can!
How do I find the Google Analytics ID for my campaign?
To find the Google Analytics ID for your campaign, you need to create a view of the campaign in your Google Analytics account. This property, as it is called, will have its own ID. To create a new property, follow the steps below:
Go to the ‘Administration’ section of your Google Analytics account.
Click on ‘Create a property’.
Name of the new property: the name of your game (e.g. ‘Tap Tap Christmas 2020’)
Website URL: https: //ubishaker.com (Warning: always use this URL, do not enter the numbers that follow. Google Analytics will make the link with the Socialshaker platform to find your campaign). If you have a personalised URL, you will need to enter the relevant domain.
Sector category: Computers and electronics
Select your country
Click on ‘Obtain a Tracking ID’.
Here is an example of a Tracking ID to be inserted into the Socialshaker platform: UA-180549297-4
How do I insert my Google Analytics ID into the platform?
To track the performance of your campaign from your Google Analytics account, you now need to enter the newly created ID in the platform. This is done directly in the ‘Configuration’ part of your campaign, in the ‘Information’ section.
You can now track the performance of your campaign directly in your Google Analytics account. If you don't want to link your campaign to your Google Analytics account, you can proceed to the next step.
