Set up a Bonto game mechanism
Updated yesterday

Description

Launch a competition in the form of a Bonto mechanic. The player has to find one of the items hidden under the cups. They are then invited to open the 3 gifts to find out if they have won. The mechanics are fun, and the player enters a real game, where they have to move the receptacle and avoid the malus to get the gifts. You can personalise the game with your own colours, to showcase your world or the prizes to be won.

Test this mechanic and download the documentation (assets, psd templates, renderings).

Configuration

To find out more about the very first steps in creating a campaign, we recommend that you start with the following article: General guide to a marketing campaign.

The Bonto consists of the following sections:

  • Settings: to determine the general parameters of your campaign.

  • Home screen: to import the legal documentation for your game (rules, privacy policy, etc.) and set the parameters for the home page.

  • Concept: to define the parameters of the game and its design. This article will focus on this section in particular.

  • Publication: to activate and distribute your campaign to your audience.

To see the different options available for each section, we recommend that you read the articles associated with them.

Bonto design

Before getting started, we recommend that you read this article, which explains the basics of creating graphics on Socialshaker: Creating the graphics for your campaign. As with all the other mechanics, you can choose between using the templates provided or importing your own template.

If you choose the latter option, you will need to create the following elements for this mechanic:

  • Campaign background (1920x1080px recommended).

  • Desktop home page background (810x700px recommended) and Mobile home page background (480×710px recommended).

  • Desktop (810x700px recommended) and Mobile (480×710px recommended) form page background.

  • Game table image (810x410px recommended)

  • Image of the cup: (268x268px recommended)

  • Image of the ball: (268x268px recommended)

  • Image for sharing on social networks (1200x630px recommended).

Note that you can use the campaign background as the default background for all pages on Mobile by ticking the appropriate box :

Concept

Appearance

This module lets you import game backgrounds, customise the rendering of your texts and buttons, and customise the scratch and win images.

How do I import my backgrounds?

The game background must be imported in the ‘Page layout’ section. Only the Desktop background can be uploaded, and it will be automatically resized to display on Mobile as well. If you wish, you can force the display of this specific background for the Mobile version by adjusting the settings in the ‘Configuration’ section of your campaign.

How do I customise Bonto?

In "Game rules popin" section, customise the graphic elements of your mechanics, starting with the game table image (810x410px recommended).

Then customise the image of the cup, and the image of the ball (268x268px recommended) :

You can then choose whether or not to display the game rules, by ticking the ‘Enable game rules pop-in’ box:

Finally, customise the Game Validation button:

Shares

To find out how to organise sharing on social networks, we recommend you read this article: Sharing your game on social networks.

Limits

To find out how to set one or more restrictions on your game, we recommend you read this article: How can I restrict access to my campaign?

Random drawing

A draw is used to determine the winners of your game campaign. To find out how to draw lots on a Bonto and what criteria are taken into account, we recommend that you read this article: Drawing lots

Export player list

You can export 2 types of file containing participation data:

  • Participants export: includes the data of all the participants in your campaign. To find out more, we recommend you read this article: Exporting data.

  • Winners export: includes contact details for the participant, the date and time they won the prize, and the corresponding prize won. This list can be found in the ‘Mechanics’ > ‘Prize draw’ > ‘Winners export’ section.

Q&A

How are Bonto winners chosen?

Bonto is based on the principle of drawing lots. This means that the game mechanics do not immediately determine the winning or losing result of the game. A participant can win the game by finding the ball, without necessarily being the winner of the game.

How can I change my campaign once it has been activated?

You can, of course, modify your campaign at any time - just make the changes you want and confirm them using the ‘Confirm’ button at the bottom of the page.
